The memorial is a symbol for the state to recall that in the year 1030 A.D.the state is the centre administrative area and the proclamation of Islam as the state religion.
Apart from being as evidence that this is the first place where Islamic faith was being introduced to Malaysia.
The memorial is also a mark in which it signifies the development of the language and writing of Jawl in Malay Archipelago.
